CSA America, Inc. develops standards to support the future hydrogen economy. CSA supports development of technologies under the U.S. Department of Energy/National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Hydrogen Program National Templates. Standards are developed through the Organizational Method administered by CSA America, Inc. and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The product standards currently being addressed include hydrogen dispensing systems and components (including temperature compensation systems, priority and sequencing equipment, hoses and breakaway devices, manual and automatic valves for station applications), hydrogen vehicle fueling station compressors, hydrogen powered vehicles, compressed hydrogen gas vehicle fuel containers and pressure relief devices for hydrogen vehicle fuel containers.
