Alternative Energy Standards

CSA Standards has a long history in the development of alternative energy standards leading to alternative energy products. We developed the first fuel cell standard in 1998, leading to complementary documents in natural gas components, hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

CSA Standards, working with the automotive industry and other stakeholders, facilitated the standards that are used today for the fuel dispensing, storage and infrastructure needed to operate natural gas vehicles and to power fuel cell technologies. Some products covered under these standards include:

Compressed NGV fueling connection devices
Compressed NGV fuel containers
NGV conversion systems
Hydrogen gas vehicle dispensing systems
Fuel Cell heating appliances
Portable fuel cell power systems
