Standards Development

For over 80 years, CSA Standards has been actively involved in creating and maintaining gas standards.

Our knowledgeable staff administers technical committees established to develop and maintain standards. We also work with other governments and standards organizations to harmonize standards from other countries for easy and efficient entry into the global marketplace.

Currently CSA Standards administers over 40 committees, subcommittees and working groups that develop safety and design standards for gas appliances and related accessories. We also maintain over 80 standards and are accredited by ANSI.
