Become a Certified CNG Fuel System Inspector

New Program Requirements:

As of August 1, 2008, the CNG Fuel System Inspector Certification will be on a 3 year re-examination cycle. Current CNG Cylinder Inspectors will have to re-exam at the expiration of their CNG Cylinder Certification to re-certify in their initial year in the expanded certification program.

  • The price for examination will be $280 plus a $95 administration fee every 3 years.
  • After a 3 year cycle you will be required to re-exam to maintain your certification.
  • In non-examination years there will be an annual fee of $50 to maintain your certification.vThere will be no minimum cylinder or vehicle inspection requirements to meet in order to renew your CNG Fuel System Inspector Certification.

Test Facilities Located Throughout the U.S.:
Computer-based testing for renewal of certifications is available at facilities located throughout the U.S. The facilities will provide on-demand testing in seminar-based exam sessions allowing the flexibility to take the exam when and where you choose. Training Available:
In order to prepare for the CNG Fuel System Inspector Certification exam, there are number of organizations offering training for the CSA Certification exam. The training is not a requirement to become a CNG Fuel System Certified Inspector.
