Participation Types and Levels

CSA America has developed a range of participation categories to best fit the needs and interests of your organization. Membership in the Participation Program is available to both current and new committee members, and fees are based on how organizations wish to contribute to the standards development process.

Choose your category:

Premier Organization: These organizations represent manufacturers, code authorities, research and testing organizations and general interest groups. Premier organizations support the CSA America voluntary consensus process by delegating their representatives for participation in standards activities. They have unlimited participation in Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) and may delegate one voting member per TAG.

Annual Fee: Based on annual company revenue; refer to the Premier Fee Schedule on the CSA Participation Program Application form.

Utility and Trade Association: These organizations represent the gas utility and trade associations. These organizations support the CSA America voluntary consensus process by delegating representatives for participation in standards activities. They have unlimited participation in Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs), and may assign one voting member delegate per TAG.

Consumer and Government: These participants represent government or consumer groups and support the CSA America voluntary consensus process by joining in standards development activities. They have unlimited participation on Technical Advisory Groups and may delegate one voting member per TAG.

Annual Fee: none

Patron Organization: These organizations have an interest in standards and related technical information, want to stay informed on a per TAG basis, but do not actively participate in Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) or Technical Committees.
