How can I become a Participant?
To join the Participation Program complete the online application through the link provided on the "Participation Types and Levels" page. You can also request application information by contacting John Manning, Program Development Specialist at 216-524-4990 ext. 8443.

Does CSA America prorate participation dues during the participation year?
CSAA does not prorate participation dues during the participation year. The enrollment period for the Participation Program is open from January 1, 2006 thru March 31, 2006, however new participants may join at any time during the year.

If I currently participate on a CSA Technical Advisory Group or Technical Committee, do I have to join the Participation Program to maintain my level of involvement?
Yes, you will need to select the appropriate level to join in order to continue your involvement on committees.

What if I can not afford to join the Participation Program?
The implementation of the Participation Program is not intended to create undue hardship or financial burden. Those with extenuating circumstances may contact the Participation Program Manager at 216-524-4990 ext. 8012 to apply for a hardship fee waiver.

Can a company employee join more than one committee; and can more than one employee from a company join CSA America committees?
Yes, participation and respective fees are by company or organization. If a company or organization wishes to participate, any number of employees can join any number of committees.

What is a TAG?
A TAG, or Technical Advisory Group, is a group of individuals with technical expertise in his or her field who contribute to the development and maintenance of standards supervised by the TAG.

How do I submit a proposal to change a standard?
You can submit a proposal to change a standard on the “Members Only” area on the CSA America Web site. Select “Links to Online Tools” and click on “Standards Proposal Submittal” to submit your change.

How do I submit my vote online?
To submit your vote on a CSA letter ballot, go to the "Members Only" area at https://member.csa.ca/sdow/Sdowlogin.asp and select "Electronic Balloting" from the menu. More specific directions on CSA America's electronic balloting process can be found when available).

How do I comment on an R&C text?
Comments to an R&C text can be made online on the CSA America Web site by clicking on "Standards" then clicking on "Public Review and Comment".

How can I update my personal information?
Your personal information can be updated on the "Members Only" section of the CSA America Web site, by e-mail at participation@csa-america.org or by contacting 1-877-235-9791.

How can I find a meeting?
Meetings are listed on the “Meeting Schedules & Notices” section of the CSA America Web site.

How can I get a copy of a Standard?
Premier members of the CSA America Participation Program are entitled to 5 complimentary standards; Government and Advocate participants are entitled to 1 complimentary standard. To purchase additional standards, go to the "Online store and Catalog" section of the CSA America Web site.

Who do I call for technical information?
Contact the Project Manager/Engineer listed in the "Program Contacts" section of the CSA America Web site in regards to the standard.
