If you are a member of a group administered by CSA Standards, such as a committee, advisory council, board or consumer network, or an information subscriber to a technical committee, your contact information is used to conduct the business of that group in the development of standards and related products. Your contact information is normally shared with other members of your group and possibly the parent committee, to facilitate communications. CSA Standards uses an open and transparent process for developing standards, and your involvement in this process may be publicly acknowledged. Depending on your status as a member of CSA Standards, your information will also be used in conducting the affairs of the Association, such as our Member Awards program, notification of the annual general meeting, election of directors, etc. If you are a member of a committee that is jointly administered by CSA Standards and another organization, or by CSA Standards on behalf of another organization, we may share your contact information with the other organization as necessary to conduct the business of the committee.
If you are not a member of one of the above groups, but are a member of another organization or group with whom CSA Standards consults in the development of standards, we will continue to use your contact information for that purpose. Examples include regulatory committees, industry associations and the like.
In addition to the purposes stated above, CSA Standards may from time to time send you information about other CSA products and services in which we believe you will have an interest. Please be assured CSA Standards does not sell or share your contact information with other organizations for commercial purposes.
If you have any questions about your status with CSA Standards, concerns with how CSA Standards uses your personal information, or wish to update your information or remove it from our contact lists, please visit our website or contact us at participation@csa-america.org.
